Insurance Reinstatement Works

Fire, flood and escape-of-water rebuilds, done properly.

Reinstatement to pre-loss condition for London homes and blocks — scoped from the insurer’s schedule, delivered around loss adjusters, with the option to upgrade at marginal cost while the building is already open.

What We Deliver

Reinstatement works for insured losses

Fire damage rebuilds

Strip-out, structural reinstatement, services and finishes — sequenced with insurer approvals.

Flood & escape of water

Controlled drying, strip-back to sound fabric and reinstatement that doesn’t seal moisture in.

Occupied & period property

Phased working around occupants, and correct materials for period, listed and mansion-block fabric.

Upgrade while open

Reinstatement to pre-loss condition, plus the option to improve layouts, services or finishes at marginal cost while access exists.

How It Runs

Scope, schedule, adjuster, delivery

We work from the insurer’s schedule of loss: pricing against it line by line, flagging what the schedule misses, and keeping the paper trail loss adjusters expect. Where the policyholder has appointed professionals — a broker, loss assessor or independent surveyor — we deliver to their scope rather than around it.

Independent surveying support

Hampstead Chartered Surveyors & Building Consultancy and Hampstead Renovations are separate sister companies operating from the same Hampstead studio. Surveying advice is provided independently; you are always free to obtain quotations from any contractor, and we tell you when our conflict rules prevent the companies working on the same project.

For sums-insured checks before a loss, or independent scoping and contract administration after one, our sister company’s Reinstatement Cost Assessments and Insurance Reinstatement Works services are available — and if you want professional monitoring of OUR works, an independent third-party surveyor is the right appointment, which they will recommend rather than monitor us themselves.

FAQs

Insurance Reinstatement Works FAQs

Do you deal with the insurer or loss adjuster for me?

We deliver and document the works, and we attend loss-adjuster meetings where scope and price are discussed. Negotiating the policy settlement itself remains with you, your broker or an appointed loss assessor — that separation protects your claim.

Can you work from the insurer's schedule of works?

Yes — we price line by line against it, and we flag in writing anything the schedule misses, such as concealed moisture, consequential damage or compliance upgrades triggered by the works.

Can we upgrade rather than just reinstate?

Often, yes. With walls open and trades on site, layout, services and finish upgrades cost a fraction of a standalone project. Upgrades are always priced separately from the insured scope so the claim stays clean.

Do you handle listed and period properties?

Yes — reinstatement with correct period materials and methods is core work for us, including mansion blocks, conservation-area houses and listed interiors where consent considerations apply.

Who checks your work is right?

Anyone you choose. If you want professional monitoring, an independent surveyor is the right appointment — and our sister surveying company will recommend an independent third party rather than monitor our works themselves. That rule is published in their conflicts policy.
